Yeah, I am pretty bummed that it passed and yes it is a sad step backwards for my state and my country. However I kind of knew this would probably be an issue, and that 8 would pass even if it was wrong.

Every minority in this country has had to fight for their rights and our fight is not over.

Some one at work had the gall to mention that it was wrong for the supreme court to overturn the decision last time and that it would be wrong to do it again afterall Yes was the majority. California had spoken.

After spraying my monitor with coffee I turned to her and told her "shut the hell up. Yes passed by 51% and that means barely over half. Do you belive that blacks and whites should be able to intermarry? because when that came up the vote to out law interracial marriges was approved by 95% of the state. The supreme court over ruled the decision of all the "do gooders" protecting marrige, because it was worng and un constitutional. Keep your ignorant opinioins to your self"

She has yet to look me in the face. (a co worker told me later that she in fact came from a mixed marrige, so I picked a good statistic to throw.)

If you are unhappy with the results of prop 8 passing do something about it. Talk to friends, classmates, and co workers. Let them know where you stand and put a face to the issue.

If you have the time and ability, give some of your time and or money to some worthy causes that are trying to change this country. Attend a rally. Educate yourself and others.

When did women get to vote? what was the build up to that?

When was segregation outlawed in your state? How did that decision come about?

What other minorities were descrimintated against by law? What was the resolution?

And if any Christians start spouting off about God, just tell them that just because the last Pope apologized for Christianitys MASSIVE involvement in the Holocaust and the subsequent extermination of jews, gypsies, homosexuals, and ethnic minorities; DOES NOT EXCUSE THIER PRESENT DAY ACTIONS.

1. First off do some research, ask any of my partners and they will inform you that I am well endowed and am in no need of enlargement. (I am just lucky).

2. While you’re at it you might notice that all of my partners are also men. I AM GAY. Your suggestions to pound my lady with my new fu*k stick, or to check out wet college girls? They make me want to vomit.

3. You can’t spell- why would I want to take classes on line from a crappy school who thinks it is spelled Diiplomaa?

4. See above, I won’t by any software from you because it is not spelled Ssoffftware.

5. Vviiiiiiigara? Fuck you seriously. I don’t need it and learn to spell.

6. Dear dishonest lawyer/stranger in trouble,

I am flattered that you thought of me in regards to the large sum of cash you need to give me. Kindly just wire the cash to me through Western Union, it will save us a lot of time, and you can trust me.

Barbarella

Starring Jane Fonda. It was a wierd cool trip of a movie, that only increased my love for Jane fonda, 9-5, Cat Ballou, She has made some fun movies, I grew up on them. 9 to 5 with Dolly Parton and Lily Tomlin is particularly awesome. If you have not seen it, fix this problem now. :)

Comic Books

I have always enjoyed comic books as a way to kill time, and after a friend turned me onto "The Sandman" featuring Dream and his siblings who are The Endless (pictured above) by Niel Gaiman; I discoverd that the medium could be raised to the level of "Art" and "Literature" To this day my set of Sandman graphic novels are to me one of the most insperational, thought provoking things I have read. I have re-read the series many times. It is a story about stories and story telling, mythology, consequnces, and unltimatly change. It is wonderful. I highly reccomend.

Egyptology
I have always had a strong intrest in mythology and the hisories of the Egyptians (as well as the Greeks, and Romans, and the Celts) I find the art and artifacts beautiful, and the myths and belifs fascinating.

Imogen Heap
The song is "The Walk" the clips are from Jim Henson's "Labrynth" both are great. I would reccomend anything from Imogen's album "Speak For Yourself" It's wonderful, it's like having a dream about living in a music box. If you like Tori Amos, you'll dig Imogen. BTW Say Goodnight and Go, is probably the cutest song about stalking. ever. I discoverd her song "Can't take it in" on "The Lion The Witch and The Wardrobe" soundtrack and needed to hear more.

The Village:
I love all things M. Night Shamalan. I thought that Lady in the Water, got a seriously poor rap. It was a fantastic modern day fairy tale. Signs gave us tense, suspensful directing not seen since Alfred Hitchcock. The Village had the always hot Joaquin Phoenix and incredible acting by Sigourny Weaver (shes electric), and Bryce Dallas Howard was amazing.

U2
The Song is "I Still Haven't Found what I'm Looking for. Listen to the lyrics. It is an Amazing song. It should be on every Slash soundtrack.

X-Men a great photo by Jenny Dolfen of Storm and Nightcrawler.
The X-Men were how I got into comic books in the first place. As an awkward gay kid, I identified heavily with the X-men. Freaks, the world hated them, but still they were Heroes and helped others. The Angst between Gambit & Rogue, you could cut it with a knife.

Sad but true!
A few posts back I had a movie from my child hood wander into my addled brain.
Monster Squad. *Sigh* A group of misfit kids battle the classic monsters of horror, and save the world from destruction. It was so clever, so funny, so scary. *sigh*

Clearly I was so obsessed because, I couldn't clearly remember the movie, and was recalling it through the shiny memories of a 7year old.

Thanks to big sister Cass I got to see my movie. She found a good copy on the internet and burned it for me. Love my sister, in'nt she grand?

I clutched my disc and was practically drooling I was so excited. I popped it in the DVD player and there it was, my movie *tear*

And there it was it all its glory, gleaming like a turd sandwich, in that special way only a turd sandwich can.

I watched the whole thing remembering what I once thought were cool scenes. Hoping somehow they would be better.
Instead I got:
Dracula with his cape and widows peak.
Being shipped via air plane with a box *labeled* and actually containing "Frankenstein monster"
Bats on strings.
The lake in town just happens to have the creature from the black lagoon living in it.
A monster fan club run by rag tag group of elementary school tards that somehow the coolest kid in the High School wants to be a part of.
Plot holes you could fly a bus through.

Wow.
It's like Little Red Riding Hood in Into The Woods "Isn't it nice to know allot?... and a little bit not?"

I am such a dork. :)

My Sisters,

As you know, our little convent has been plagued in recent months by "the Maria problem." I must say, in all my years serving the Lord, this is the greatest challenge I have ever faced. It is like trying to hold a moonbeam in your hand.

Nuns have described Maria as "a headache," "a demon," and "capable of outpestering any pest." Yet, when I put out a box to collect anonymous Maria-related complaints, many of them seemed relatively minor:

"She climbs a tree and scrapes her knee." We are not Franciscans, but surely we can agree that a youthful heart often expresses its love of the Almighty through delight in nature. Besides, it's spring; it's like the hills are alive!

"She's always late for everything except for every meal." As a novice, Maria may simply be unaccustomed to the regimented life the convent demands. By the way, the implication that she is fat is simply uncalled for.

"Underneath her wimple she has curlers in her hair." Sisters, we all know that Maria sports a rather unflattering pageboy bob, with nothing resembling a curl upon her head. Whoever submitted this slander must search her soul.

On the other hand, I must admit Maria makes me uncomfortable. Once, she mentioned that brown-paper packages tied up with string were among her favorite things. That doesn't seem normal, does it? Plus, her five-octave range is positively unnerving.

So what can be done? I have been conducting frequent meetings on the subject with the most senior nuns, and a number of options have been proposed:

KICK HER OUT. Vetoed. These walls were not built to shut out problems; we have to face them.

FEED HER LESS. By limiting her rations, we may deny her the energy to do things like waltzing on the way to Mass or spinning around on mountaintops with her arms outstretched.

ADMINISTER FREQUENT, SAVAGE BEATINGS. I am shocked at the number of times this was suggested. For shame, sisters. I know it can be truly frustrating when she will not stay and listen to all you say, but we are nuns! Nuns!

LOAN HER OUT AS A NANNY TO AN ECCENTRIC NAVAL HERO. I don't really understand this plan. How is this going to make her a better nun? If anything, I feel that putting her in close proximity to children will exacerbate her own childish tendencies.

Sisters: I will consider our course. In the meantime, let us pray for a solution to this seemingly insoluble problem of Maria. We must have faith that we can climb every mountain, ford every steam, follow every rainbow, 'til Maria either stops being so annoying or falls in love with someone and gets married. I sincerely hope that the time soon arrives when we can turn our attention to more pressing matters. For instance, I hear the Nazi Party is quite popular nowadays?

Continuing from yesterdays discussion with my friend... we were discussing things that happened during our age difference and though he was less than 10 years older we had one of those grandpa conversations. “Back in my day, we didn’t have Cell phones, MTV, Drive thru restaurants, we didn’t have Britney spears we listened to the Violent Fems. We had to drive to San Francisco to do gay things.”

What I remember:
- I remember a time before Britney Spears was a celebrity- Madonna has been famous my whole life.
- I have always have access to computers but they were huge things with an ugly taupe outside, and the monitor was black with Green type.
- I remember when I went online for the first time (I was in high school)
- There has always been MTV for as long as I can remember, but I do remember there being music on the channel and “I want my MTV” spots with Cindy Lauper and Billy Idol.
- I remember when VH1 came out
- There has always been McDonald’s and drive thrus, but I do remember the Styrofoam McDonald’s containers.
- I remember when “Oregon Trail” was cutting edge computer technology
- I have never seen an 8 track in real life (I have seen them on TV and movies)
- I remember before there was reality TV (the first reality show I watched was real world San Francisco)
- Speaking of, I remember when The Real World was actually about real people, not about Hot 20 some-things getting drunk, having sex and fighting on camera.
- I remember Sarah Jessica Parker from Girls Just Wanna Have Fun (with academy award winner Helen Hunt, & Shannen Doherty) and Footloose – way before Sex In The City.
- More over, I remember Kim Katrall from Mannequin, and Police Academy.
- I never heard Disco on the radio when it FIRST came out.
- I was too young to see the following in theaters when they first came out:

So I was having this discussion last night, and I just have to ask:

Does anyone remember Monster Squad?

This was an 80’s movie that was one of those unique blends of really bad and really good at the same time, where you generally wind up enjoying the movie.

The movie had the makings of a Buffy script. A bunch of kids, mostly misfits I think, the school bully, someone’s slutty older sister, and a creepy German guy save the world from the classic horror monsters.

I think there was an amulet that would banish the monsters to limbo or hell; and Dracula and his minions, creature from the black lagoon, a werewolf, and a mummy- They but mostly Drac, were trying to take over the world. Frankenstein was there, but he wanted to help the kids.

I don’t remember much about the movie, but I do recall
- they needed a virgin to read a spell -The slutty sister, claimed she was a virgin, her boyfriend didn’t count- (she was blonde)
- Drac got burned by garlic pizza
- “Kick him in the nards!”
“Wolfman doesn’t have nards!”
“Kick him any way!” *Kicks* -wolfman goes down.
“Wolfman’s got Nards!” (awed)

I totally have to find this movie it can sit next to Goonies on my shelf XD

Ok this was just such a weird day, I needed to check in and see if it was just me or there was a full moon, or something in the water.

So. Late night last night, and today was payday so after a shower a shave and a change of clothes, I stopped by Starbucks to get a caffine fix to start my day. I order my quad shot mocha (I mentioned caffine FIX right?) and there is this woman who looks like she is working on her 2nd heart attack of the day. She was radient like something out of a film, she was wearing an illfittng pantsuit, that appeared to have a liberal dusting of cat hair. Her own salt and pepper hair is wild and disheveled, not is a sexy devil-may-care way but more of an I-just-shook-6-cats-out-of-my-hair sort of look. I was a little concerned but it appeared that her phone conversation was winding down and she was starting to sound civil by the end.

The barista called out "Chance! quadventimochawithwip!"
And this woman snaps her phone shut, and grabs MY coffee. I said "Hey, that's mine ma'am" She turned to me, looked me in the eye, and said
"I dont fucking care, I waited, I'm taking it, it is mine now" I was shocked, stunned, I couldn't think. I reached for my coffee and said,
"no that's mine you wait your turn." She growled and said, "Touch me, and I will rip off your head and skull fuck you!."

I shit you not. That is exactly what she said. Seriously WTF?

So the mortified Barista made me another drink, and then, (against all my better judgement telling me to call in to work today.) I continued on my way to work.

And then, there I am driving to work, and here comes this guy barreling in his truck right at me,head on. in my lane. Apparrently, he did not have enough room in the designated traffic lane. I slammed on the brakes, and pulled my car towards the curb, he, in a moment of generosity, cut into the McDonalds lot. And he gave me a look like I was the one at fault- trust me I wasn't, I checked, no signal, no turn lane, and double yellow lines, in addition to being in my lane. he was definatly in the wrong. I was so frazzled I gave him the finger and hustled off to work.

Seriously what was up with today?

The rest of work was very busy but fine, and the trip home (thank Hermes) was uneventful. I have had it I am off to Faces. Time for a few drinks and for me to shake my grove thing.

I gotta sweet tooth today!

So I dunno, feeling kinda blue today. Just woke up feelin' blah. Things at work are kinda piling up with the new position.

I know that as I get my bearings at work things will get better and of course, after I get things working the way I like it, it will be running much smoother. It is just this first part getting things fixed that is really sucking, and not in the fun way that makes me happy.

Its not all melodramatic like I want to do something to my self- cause I don't. And I don't think it's all work.

I think part of it is because Brad stopped by yesterday. For those of you who may not be fully up to date,here is the back story:

Brad and I were buddies for years then he moved in with me while I was living in Roseville. It was through that experience that I discovered that he was a pathological liar. I mean people had said things before he moved in. Lord knows Cass tried to warn me but when I was seeing him intermittently has a friend I just never noticed. But after being around him every day, I discovered that he lied about everything,things I could check up on, events that occurred in my presence, even unimportant things. It got to the point that he would say something and I would wonder in my head "Is this the truth or is Brad lying to my face right now?" And in addition to that Brad wanted me to go everywhere with him like we were a couple or something. All of a sudden I was responsible for his social life and some sort of bastard if I wanted to stay home and read or (horror of horrors) do something fun without him. Well I discovered that I am not really a "roommate person" I prefer to live by my self or with(to steal from girl_clone) the boything. The relationship self-destructed rather spectacularly. This was one of the factors of me moving to Sacramento in the first place, (that and its closer to work.)

So back to yesterday. Brad shows up no call, no warning, just knocks on my door. (BTW how did he get in the building?) Just out of the blue, at my place like NOTHING had happened. Assuming that the knock was my downstairs neighbor I opened the door. Then it was too late to pretend I wasn't home. And guess what he wanted, he was in town and was looking for something to do! AAaaarrrgghh!!!! I am not the cruise director, I am not responsible for keeping you entertained. C'mon you're like an adult, how co-dependent can you be? Grrrr. So I let him in and the feeling is still there. He is talking and I am going all Sybil in my head wondering: is this a lie? Did he really see Pan's Labyrinth? How did he see it and think that it sucks? Is he making it up? Why would he make it up? He's done it before! but it's so unimportant! Stab him in the face!

Grrrr. That's how he makes me feel now, crazy and stabby, never a good combination. The sad part is I miss the friend I used to have.
